Who's accountable if a message goes wrong?

We are. You approve every message before it goes out, and a person on our team watches the conversations that need one. If something is off, tell us and we change it.

The short answer

We are. You approve every message before it goes out, and a person on our team watches the conversations that need one.

If something is off, tell us. We change it.

Why this question matters

Messages go out under your name. A bad one lands with a real person, and they won't remember it was automated. They'll remember it was you.

That's why accountability has to be clear before anything is sent.

How it's set up

Three checks stand between a draft and a prospect.

  1. We write it in your voice. Marlo drafts the messages from how you actually talk.
  2. You approve it. Nothing is sent until you say yes.
  3. A person watches the replies. Avery and the team catch the conversations that need judgment.

If a message slips through that shouldn't have, the person responsible is us, not the software.

What counts as "going wrong"

  • A message that sounds wrong, or says something you wouldn't say.
  • A reply that misses the point of what someone asked.
  • A message to someone who shouldn't be on the list.
  • A prospect who asks to stop, and keeps hearing from us.

Each of these is fixable. Each one is also our problem to fix.

What we do when it happens

We stop the message. We tell you what happened. We change the wording, the list, or the rule that let it through.

You don't need to find the cause. You only need to tell us.

What we can't promise

We can't promise a message will never be misread. People read things differently, and a perfectly good message can still land badly with one person in a hundred.

What we can promise is that you'll know quickly, and that we'll act on it. The monthly report shows who replied, so problems show up in plain sight.

Who this isn't for

If you want outreach that nobody reviews, we're not the right fit. We think unreviewed messages are the real risk, and we won't send them.

The longer version

Accountability is easy to promise and hard to prove, so we make it visible in small ways: you see every message before it's sent, the monthly report shows exactly who was contacted and who answered, and when something needs fixing there's a named team to tell rather than a support queue that sends you a ticket number. You can always see it. You can always tell us.

We also keep a record of what was sent and when, so that if a prospect ever asks why they heard from you, or a message needs to be traced back and corrected, there's a plain answer in front of both of us instead of a guess, and that record is part of why we can stand behind the work. Records matter. They keep everyone honest.
